This eclectic collection of original short stories by Northwest writers was compiled by Eckley Guerin and Patricia Williams. The two retired friends from Astoria, Oregon, became involved in their community, volunteering and helping with various area organizations. Upon discovering a bounty of regional writing talent, the two ladies began a project to gather a collection of stories to publish for the benefit local charities. From the dozens of creative nonfiction stories submitted, they selected a variety of pieces with topics that include humor, adventure, travel, nature, animals, and history, written from the true-life experiences of the authors. All the essays in this volume are fun, interesting, and informative.
